IS THIS THE BEST VALUE Audi R8 in Austra lia? I reckon it might just be. It’s got 40,000k m on t he clock, so it’s just been light ly run in, and a lt hough t he R-tronic gearbox copped some f la k at launch, I still prefer it to the stupid gated shifter the manual model came with. Dakota Grey with a carbon pack is a ver y cool spec. I’d been look ing at Porsche 996 Turbos, but came to the conclusion that the R8 was faster around v irtually any circuit you care to mention, sounded better, turned more heads, had a smarter interior and was probably more exciting to drive. Part Ingolstadt, part Sant’Agata, I’ve a feeling t he R8 will develop into a Unique Cars hero in years to come.
