Two door SL Benzs have always been sought after and like a good wine, the older they get the more valuable they become. Gullwings are unobtainium and a good Pagoda model will set you back plenty. But a 500SL from the early nineties is well within reach.. The SL500 was powered by a DOHC 5.0-litre V8 with 326 horsepower, good for a top speed of 155mph. An original example in pale blue with cream leather sold at Shannons Melbourne recently for $9,500.
