YOU MAY have noticed we’ve had the same give-away book in our Mailbag section for the last few months, with good reason.
It’s the Haynes Car Bodywork Repair Manual and covers fixing panels through to painting. Lyndsay Porter is the author and it was first published in 1985, with a revision in 1991. Okay some of the materials als have updated over time, but really the principles and techniques are the same. .
Though illustrated onlyy in black and white, we like the fact the photos are plentiful, iful, giving a useful step-by-step tep guide, and the text is simple. mple. It comes in hard cover and nd costs around $35 – we gott ours through Motor Bookk World. Worth the money.
