Enjoy Luxury Private Dining at the Diplomat Hotel

- | By Alona Abbady Martinez

When The Diplomat Beach Resort underwent its $100 million transformation in April 2017, every restaurant space was designed to have the ability to make it private. There are a total of 9 eating venues at the resort, from casual grab-and-go market to the most exquisite full-service meal. Each has a completely different vibe and cuisine from the next, but the one thing they all share in common is that their private dining options are next-level. For those with refined tastes looking to host their holiday part or next dinner event with class, privacy, and upscale service, consider these exquisite private dining spaces at the wildly popular Hollywood resort.

DIPLOMAT PRIME

This luxury boutique steakhouse speaks class and excellence with its subdued elegance and posh setting. Chef Nicolay Adinaguev (Steak 954, Verde) is at the helm of this classic chophouse, offering houseaged prime beef, a full raw bar (including seafood towers) and Florida grouper and snapper dishes, plus a carefully curated wine list and craft cocktails.

There are two private dining options and both are equally elegant, framed with dark woods and colorful azure wallpaper to serve as a stately contrast. The larger room seats up to 32 guests, the smaller 16. Guests can work directly with the restaurant to create a unique menu for their event or choose from the already celebrated meals on the menu.

MONKITAIL

Celebrity chef and restaurateur Michael Schulson’s modern izakaya, aka, Japanese gastropub, features sharable small plates and sushi, as well as an array of specialty cocktails and sake. It is clear the aesthetic of the space is as important as the food, as Schulson has managed to create a luxuriously chic and contemporary design with plenty of intimate spaces for guests to enjoy an authentic Japanese meal. Private dining options here include a terrace that can seat up to 55 and hold 105 for a reception or a semi-private room that seats 24.

NOKKU

Tucked away beyond award-winning Monkitail is a secret cocktail lounge ideal for entertaining. Nokku begs luxury, decadence, and good times, with a capacity of 76 in the lounge area, it also boasts four private room (seating 8-12), each with full karaoke capabilities.

POINT ROYAL

Celebrity Chef Geoffrey Zakarian’s Coastal American restaurant features modern dishes and a traditional raw bar in a vibrant bustling atmosphere that offers both fresh and sustainable seafood. The restaurant’s tasteful retro-chic design harkens to the era of Old Florida, something which blends seamlessly with Zakarian’s signature hospitality. Point Royal offers two private dining options. For large parties, enjoy the expansive dining room terrace which can seat up to 150 guests, with a capacity for 250. If you are looking for something more intimate, the cozy private dining room, which seats 14, will make you feel like you are in your own private seaside cottage.
