Air New Zealand opens new Melbourne lounge

-

Air New Zealand opened its new and improved lounge at Melbourne International Airport on 8 May, with more room and a new look. The lounge, on the ground floor of the terminal, now offers five different spaces for close to 250 guests – 50 per cent more seating than the original lounge – as well as a self-service food buffet, two self-service drink stations and a barista station. Designed in conjunction with global architectural firm Gensler and Australian-based design firm Marsden Collective, the design is in the same style as the airline’s Sydney lounge. The new lounge is part of the airline’s four-year $100 million programme to develop its network of lounges and follows the opening of new lounges in Sydney and Brisbane as well as in Auckland, Nadi, Wellington, Queenstown, Hamilton and Invercargill. airnewzealand.com.au
