CONTRIBUTORS
Lindy Alexander
There’s almost nothing travel writer Lindy Alexander wouldn’t do for a story. She’s squeezed into a sparkly spandex tail for mermaid lessons in the Philippines, danced in an Indian wedding procession and spraypainted a wall in Melbourne's CBD. Lindy regularly contributes to some of Australia’s best-known and well-loved publications, and has won the Grace Marion Wilson Prize for a story about her travels in Rwanda. A devoted epicurean, Lindy often wonders just how much food she can fit into her luggage. @lindyalexanderwriter
Carolyn Beasley
A marine and environmental scientist turned travel writer, Carolyn specialises in sustainability, nature and family adventure stories, showcasing tourism operators that are going beyond ‘greenwashing’. Having spent nine years between Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore, she embraces sweat and values good laksa. This Perth-based writer now contributes to publications in seven countries. If you’re looking for her, you’ll hopefully find her underwater, exploring a pristine coral reef. @familyecotravel
Barry Stone
Barry Stone began his writing career in 1998 with a small, optimistic piece on The Greenbrier Hotel in West Virginia which was, to his surprise, published in Brisbane’s The Courier Mail. Regularly published ever since, he is now a long-time contributor to the Australian Financial Review, Sydney's Sunday Telegraph and various other high-profile travel publications. In 2007 he became an author with I Want to be Alone, a study of hermits and recluses. His 17th book, Audacious Architecture (New Holland), is now in current release. inscribedbystone.com
