For the unini­ti­ated, it’s dif­fi­cult to grasp the sig­nif­i­cance of Di­more Stu­dio or in­deed the breadth and scope of its work. But for the de­sign cognoscenti, a visit to the Via Solferino gallery is a rite of pas­sage. The stu­dio, founded by Emil­iano Salci and Britt Mo­ran in 2003, blurs the lines be­tween art, in­te­rior de­sign and fash­ion and “in­ter­prets mem­o­ries and cre­ates dreams”. The pair’s labyrinthine apart­ment — Di­more Gallery — in an 18th-cen­tury Mi­lanese palazzo, is a go-to for its idio­syn­cratic and di­rec­tional aes­thetic. This year didn’t dis­ap­point.
