THE MOOD: Dimore Studio
For the uninitiated, it’s difficult to grasp the significance of Dimore Studio or indeed the breadth and scope of its work. But for the design cognoscenti, a visit to the Via Solferino gallery is a rite of passage. The studio, founded by Emiliano Salci and Britt Moran in 2003, blurs the lines between art, interior design and fashion and “interprets memories and creates dreams”. The pair’s labyrinthine apartment — Dimore Gallery — in an 18th-century Milanese palazzo, is a go-to for its idiosyncratic and directional aesthetic. This year didn’t disappoint.
