Emanuele Farneti, the editor-in-chief of Vogue Italia, is well versed in the world of design and interiors having been editor of the Italian edition of Architectural Digest — not long after launching GQ Italia.

In addition to Vogue Italia, Farneti currently heads up Casa Vogue and menswear title l’Uomo Vogue from the sleek Condé Nast headquarters in Milan. In this Italian-themed issue, Farneti pens a heartfelt tribute to his country’s resilience during the coronavirus pandemic (page 33). “At this unique period of time I’m inspired by the generosity of all the doctors and nurses that are risking their lives to help and support us every day,” he says. “In general, I’m inspired by people doing their job with passion, and people who care — no matter what their job is.
