Minute silence

Take a minute to pause and remember those who died in wars and armed conflicts on Wednesday, November 11 at 11am.

Remembranc­e Day services will be conducted at war memorials across Baw Baw Shire including Darnum, Drouin, Longwarry, Neerim South, Noojee, Thorpdale, Trafalgar and Warragul.

Services at Drouin, Trafalgar and Warragul will be followed by morning tea at the respective RSL clubrooms.

All returned soldiers, service personnel and citizens are invited to assemble at the respective memorials before 11am and to lay wreaths.

Baw Baw Shire will also lay wreaths at memorials in Erica, Hill End, Jindivick, Narracan East, Neerim, Neerim East, Neerim North, Walhalla, Willow Grove and Yarragon.

The shire requested all citizens to observe a one minute silence at 11am.

This year’s Remembranc­e Day marks the 97th anniversar­y of the Armistice which ended World War I.
