TREASURE HUNT BACK AT LIGHTS UP FESTIVAL

-

The treasure hunt, a highly popular addition to the Drouin Lights Up Festival last year, will be back bigger and better this year.

The pre-Christmas event run by the Drouin District Business Group will be on Friday, December 4, with cafes, restaurants and retail businesses in the central business district extending their opening hours for late night dining and shopping.

Last year’s festival drew about 3000 people to the shopping area.

The treasure hunt will take a different format this year.

Participating businesses will have a gold Christmas star located somewhere within their premises and contestants need to locate it and write down its location.

Businesses can be involved whether or not they are members of the business group.

Last year 33 businesses participated with prizes valued at more than $1200 on offer.

Business group secretary Joel Krause has appealed for all Drouin CBD businesses to be involved.

An application form is available on the group’s website info@drouindistrictbg.com.au

There is no cost for members of the DDBG and non-members can also be part of the treasure hunt at a cost of $50 to help meet the costs of materials and promotions.
