Experience Jade Hurley style

-

Legendary Australian country and rock musician Jade Hurley will perform at the West Gippsland Arts Centre on Friday, November 13 at 11am.

This “country-rock and show-biz experience” will include dozens of classic hits for all ages as well as plenty of fun and laughs at Hurley’s “comical antics”.

Every album this unique musician has recorded has achieved gold, platinum or double platinum status whilst his autobiography, “Jade: The Jade Hurley Story”, sold more than 32,000 copies.

As well as being a headline act in his own right, Hurley has toured will some of the all-time greats include Johnny and June Carter Cash, Johnny Ray, Woody Herman and Don Williams as well as the late Johnny O’Keefe.

Johnny Cash stated that Hurley was the best act he had worked with.

“If I wasn't who I am, I would find it very hard to follow him on any stage anywhere in the world,” he was quoted as saying. “He’s one hell of a showman and entertainer this Aussie…and he can sure play that damn piano.”

In the US, Hurley was billed as a cross between Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard and Liberace because of his energetic piano antics like jumping on the piano and kicking the keys, his ability to make great and controversial headlines as well as his flamboyant and glittery sequin outfits.

During his Warragul concert, this ultimate showman will perform classics like “Rockin’ all over the World” and “Old Time Rock and Roll”, Johnny Preston’s “Running Bear”, Buddy Holly’s “Oh Boy” and “Peggy Sue”, Little Richard’s “Lucille” and dozens of others.

In between, he will slow down with Roy Orbison’s “Crying” and “Leah”, Jim Reeves’ “He’ll Have to Do” and his latest show stopper “You Raise Me Up”.

Jade’s number one hits “Down in the Riverina” and “It’s All Over Now” will also be favourites.

Hurley was awarded an Order of Australia Medal (OAM) for his contribution and work within the entertainment industry to encourage and nurture young talent as well as his tireless appearances for charitable organisations.

Tickets are $24 for adults, $22 for concession and $20 for members.
