Strzelecki playoffs

Warragul and Drouin bowling clubs have a strong representation in the Strzelecki Region playoffs to be held at Trafalgar Bowls Club on Thursday.

The champions of West Gippsland and South Gippsland Bowls Divisions will play off, with the winners will compete against Victoria’s other 15 region winners to decide the state champion in each category.

A good crowd of supporters from the two divisions are expected to attend the playoffs, which start at 9.30am.

West Gippsland representatives: Women’s 60-plus singles: Denise Hamilton, Drouin; Men’s 60-plus singles: Ian Smethurst, Drouin; Women’s 60-plus pairs: Shirley Whitechurch & Pat Trewin, Traralgon; Men’s 60-plus pairs: Peter Gallasch & Ian Belling, Warragul; Women’s novice singles: Glenda Collins, Warragul; Men’s novice singles: Geoff Woods, Warragul.
