Golf cart stolen

-

Warragul Police are investigating the theft of a golf cart from the Warragul Country Club last week.

The cart, valued at $10,000 was stolen overnight on Thursday night.

Police said two offenders were involved in the theft.

The golf cart was later recovered where it had been abandoned in Western Park Drv, Warragul.

Anyone with information that may assist investigations should contact Warragul Police.

Senator Ricky Muir of the Australian Motoring Enthusiasts Party was also on the panel.

WBG executive officer Sue Kiernan said Mr McDonald was a late inclusion contacting the group the day prior after learning of the forum via social media.

However, we were unaware there was a fifth candidate Jennifer McAdam, recently endorsed to contest McMillan for the Animal Justice Party, Ms Kiernan said.

Other candidates were not known until nominations closed on Thursday.

The session opened with brief two-minute presentations by each candidate giving reasons they were standing at the election.

Moderated by WBG member John Davine, the forum had a major focus on issues impacting businesses, with penalty rates, taxation, jobs, the National Broadband Network, renewable energy, protection of small businesses against big business and public transport prominent in questions from the audience.

Ms Keirnan said there was a good attendance of about 60 people to hear the candidates’ viewpoints.
