Soccer club arrests

Trafalgar Police arrested five teenagers in relation to two burglaries at the Trafalgar Soccer Club recently.

Police have charged two offenders with burglary and thefts. The other three offenders were all cautioned.

The youths were all aged 14 and 15-years-old.

The incidents occurred on June 1 and 3. The first theft was during the day and the second incident occurred at 11pm at night.

The youths allegedly stole alcohol, lollies and soft drink.

The two youths who were charged will be summonsed to appear at Children’s Court at a later date.

Police are investigat­ing a car stolen from Mt Evelyn that was set on fire at Piedmont early Saturday morning.

Police said a resident in Mt Baw Baw Tourist Rd woke to a loud explosion and then saw a vehicle on fire in her driveway.

Police said offenders had attempted to steal a Holden Colorado from the property but it became bogged.

A second vehicle, a Holden Cruze was stolen from the Piedmont property and found nearby.

The vehicle set on fire by offenders had previously been stolen from Mt Evelyn.

Household goods were stolen from two Hotondo Homes display homes in Warragul last week.

The burglary and theft occurred between June 6 and June 11.

Police said offenders forced entry via rear windows to the display homes in Silverwood Drv.

Offenders stole a doona, picture frame and candle holder.
