Nearest the pins went to Judy Bibby on the fifth, Monica Gidley on the eighth. Judy Bibby picked up the pro pin.

This Tuesday is the first round of the 4BBB Eileen Smith Trophy, with the second round being played the following week on Tuesday June 21. Partners are required for this event.

The Women’s Golf West Gippsland foursomes championsh­ip are being held at Yallourn golf course on Friday June 17. There is also a personal guest day on Tuesday June 28.

Seniors

It was another pleasant morning for the Drouin seniors nine-hole event on Thursday.

The winner in the women’s division was Marg Murray with 18 points.

The runner up was Pam Soutar with 16 points, followed by Audrey Farthing with 15 points. Then came Glenda Warren with 14 points, and Helen Andreason, Bev Long, Jan Stone and Pat Alexander each with 12 points.

In the men’s division the winner was Ian Hemphill with 21 points.

The runner up was Graeme Alexander with 18 points, followed by Bill Pritchard with 17 points, Rolf Loebert, Laurie Pyle and Graham Moon each with 14 points, and Phil Edwards with 13 points.
