Another Claytons pedestrian crossing

-

When is a pedestrian crossing not a pedestrian crossing? When it is built by Baw Baw Shire. In the past year they have built two of these useless crossings one in Normanby street and now one in Albert street.

These are not pedestrian crossings As you still have to wait for traffic to pass there are no zebra crossings marked or signs to stop

Baw Baw Shire has shown again that it is totally out of step with the elderly and infirm how are they meant to cross when traffic does not have to stop you need to fix this asap before someone is injured or killed it cannot be that hard.

I ask that if you agree please let the council know that they need to fix this. Paul Jagoe Warragul

Bill Shorten has pledged 50 per cent intermittent renewable energy by 2030. This shows just how irrational these climate armageddonists are.

Many of these zealous atmospheric history deniers have turned their back on science, and would rather die in a ditch than acknowledge these scientific facts:

Life on earth survived just fine when C02 levels were 3000 ppm, (parts per million) and the oceans weren’t acidic.

In the last 300 million years atmospheric C02 has averaged at approximately 1,100 ppm. The current level is 400 ppm. We exhale about 40,000 ppm C02.

Optimum plant yields are achieved at about 2000 ppm C02. Plants starve and life perishes at 150ppm C02. 18,000 years ago C02 levels fell to a dangerous low of 180ppm. Ice core data shows that C02 levels rise about 800 years after a warming cycle has commenced.

If we could get rid of all the anthropogenic carbon dioxide emitted since the industrial revolution, agricultural productivity would drop by 15 per cent.

Al Gore’s movie is littered with scientific errors and bias; proven in a court of law.

Human activity makes up three per cent of C02 in the atmosphere. Water vapour is the main greenhouse gas. Marc Shellekens Drouin

DEDJTR wants “community action” weed control but there are some people who don't care. They need to be prosecuted and forced to properly clean up their properties every year. They are aggravated litterers, affecting large areas with long term consequences.

Recently we sprayed 600 ragwort in five acres. Ignoring these could cause millions of seeds to contaminate neighbouring properties. We know no effective DEDJTR action would be taken against us.

After 40 years of consistent work we thought our retirement could be weed free. Now we have years of labour, herbicide use and costs ahead.

Our farm could never be organic. Our land is being degraded, now and for future owners. The outlook is depressing.

Conscientious landowners and farmers and our land deserve better from the department. A. Bullen Tetoora Rd
