WFNC is fortunate to have a great team of trainers that does an enormous amount of work quietly behind the scenes at each training night and on game days.

They take pride in the fact that every member of the club is included and receives the same quality of care they are able to provide.

Many people would be surprised to know that not only are we involved with the footballers, senior and junior, we all actively give our time and services to the netballers, who are an intrinsic part of our Club.

When more serious injuries occur trainers from all clubs work together with the best interests of any player uppermost in their minds.

Duties of a trainer include, but are not limited to; preventative taping, active first-aid, remedial first-aid taping and massage.

If a situation arises that is beyond their scope of knowledge and/or experience, the player is referred to a relevant medical practitioner.

Warragul has two level one trainers - it is a requirement of Gippsland League that there be at least one - John Sheils and Rachel Bickerdike.

The club is also fortunate to have John Kaljouw, a qualified masseuse whose skills are genuinely appreciated by the players, and Michael Waters who has been part of the trainer’s camp for more than five years.
