Improved Saints score fifth win
Nyora scored its fifth win of the season with victory over Lang Lang, 13-9 (87) to 10-9 (69).
An improved Saints outfit have been successful in winning against the sides at the lower end of the ladder, and Saturday was no different with the Saints holding on in a match that ebbed and flowed.
The Saints kicked three goals to one in the first term to open up a 15-point lead, but the Tigers clawed their way back in an entertaining quarter where they kicked six goals to five.
The Saints kept the Tigers to just two behinds in the third term while kicking four goals themselves to open up a handy lead heading into the final change.
The Tigers finished strongest, kicking three goals to one but the lead was ultimately too much to chase.
Jesse Heylen kicked three goals for the Saints, with Nick Carrigy, Jordan Anderson, Troy McPherson, Dylan Heylen and Aiden Cumberland also prominent.
Tigers claw Saints
Lang Lang scored a big win in the Reserves, 19-8 (121) to 3-1 (19).
The Tigers kicked four goals to one in the first term and were never headed, having the match in their keeping at half time with a 52-point lead.
Jyi Kerford kicked five goals, while Oliver Dunn and Ben Barwick each chipped in with four majors.
Hayden Laidlaw, Brad Thorpe and Peter Bradbury also put in a strong performance.
Daniel Vivian, Geoff Lightowler, Sam Collis, James Harkess, Stanton Till and Gabe Guppy did their best to stem the tide for the Saints.
Tigers take control
Lang Lang took control from the outset to record a comfortable win in the under 18s, 13-8 (86) to 7-5 (47).
Dylan Diehl kicked five goals in a best on ground performance, while Chris Potrich chipped in with three majors. Brandon Dalli, Zak Rofet, Lachlan Dunn and Trent Harvie were also prominent.
Kalani Mathews, Hayden Smith, Peter Gillin, Aiden Johnson, Kevin Farley and Jack Ellams were solid contributors for the Saints.
