Blokes barbeque ready to fire again

-

The match is about to be struck to fire up the 2016 Baw Baw Big Blokes Barbeque which is to be held at Lardner Park on Friday, October 14.

The Blokes Barbeque is an annual luncheon started in 2012 by a group of passionate local businessmen. The aim of the event is to give men a day out – with lunch, entertainment, raffles, auctions and an opportunity to catch up with other local men.

The event seeks to raise awareness of prostate cancer in the community and raises vital funds for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and many local initiatives. 2016 will mark the event’s fifth anniversary – in the four years to date over 2500 men have attended the event and over $500,000 has been raised.

The 2016 line up will be the best ever with Corporal Mark Donaldson VC, our first Victoria Cross recipient in 40 years, headlining the day. Other speakers include comedians Dave O’Neil and Des Dowling.

Demand for patron level sponsorships has been hotter than ever with Viatek, Harcourts Warragul, Malady Electrical, Bendigo Bank Warragul, Warragul & Drouin Gazette, Blackwoods Warragul Ready Mixed & Garden Supplies and Robertson Wouters all committing to patron level sponsorships of the event.

A variety of sponsorship packages are available for this year’s event and a very limited number of tables of ten remain available at $1300 per table.

Please visit bawbawbigblokes.com for further details on table sales and sponsorships or keep your eye on the Gazette over the coming weeks.
