Cobras secure minor premiership
Cora Lynn stitched up the minor premiership with a big win over Ellinbank, 31-23 (209) to 1-4 (10).
The Cobras kicked six goals in the first term and were never headed.
Nathan Langley led the scoring with eight goals, with Ryan Gillis not far behind with seven majors. Anthony Guiliano, Nathan Muratore and Jackson Dalton each chipped in to the big score with three majors.
Midfielders Ricky Clark and Brady White ensured they had good supply, while Darren Maggio was also prominent.
Michael Pandolfo, Ashley Wallace, Brett Masterson and Mark Vassett battled hard for the Bankers, while Daniel Burke scored the sides only goal in the final quarter.
Cobras make finals
Cora Lynn pulled away in the final quarter to win what had otherwise been a tight contest in the Reserves.
The Cobras kicked three goals to one in the final quarter to win 9-10 (64) to 7-4 (46) after leading by just six-points at three-quarter-time.
The win secured the Cobras a spot in the finals.
Steven Dillon kicked three goals, while Luke Foreman, Jason Andreatta, Damien Monckton, Corey Rowe and Ryan Martin also helped the Cobras to victory.
Toby Wallace kicked three goals to feature among the better players for the Bankers, while Jayson Barwick, Brad Martin, Daniel Pandolfo and Andrew Pyle also kept the visitor in the contest.
Bankers in thriller
Ellinbank came from behind to win a thrilling match in the under 18s, 7-7 (49) to 6-10 (46).
The Bankers got off to a slow start as the Cobras raced out to a 29-point lead at half time.
Two goals to one in the third term reduced the margin to 25points but the Bankers finished strong, booting four goals to one behind to run over the top of the Cobras.
Tyler Hotchkin kicked three goals. He was supported in the comeback by Tom BuckleyBrown, Fletcher Kennedy, Matthew Farthing, Adam Feltham and Dylan Armour.
Lochie Peluso, Nathan Mete, Tristan Fernandez-Phillips, Ben Virgona, Tom Jones and Tim Weller made the early running for the Cobras.
Bankers outworked
Cora Lynn outworked Ellinbank to eventually win the under 16s 4-11 (35) to 2-3 (15).
Chase Blackwood, Bryce Font, Corey Brook, Jack Chatfield, Patrick Briffa and Levi Munns were the better players for the Cobras.
Reece Kestle, William Robertson, Jake Tyers, Lucas Maffei, Jesse Kelly and Patrick Anderson kept the Bankers in the contest.
