The Goon kicked out to a five goal lead at quarter time and were never headed, with Ben Scanlon and Chris Chalmers each finishing with five goals.

Luke Failla showed his desperatio­n to break back into the senior side with a best afield performanc­e, while Tyler Payroli, Travis Simpkin and Zach Scanlon were also prominent.

Brad Thorpe, Peter Bradbury, Hayden Laidlaw and Jeffrey Campbell finished the season strongly for Lang Lang.

Goon made to work

Nar Nar Goon were made to work for their victory over Lang Lang in the under 18s.

The Goon led by just nine points at three-quartertim­e and only broke away in the final quarter, booting three goals to one to win 7-8 (50) to 4-3 (27).

Cooper Hampton finished with four goals, while Luke Dortmans, Michael Van Roy, Joel Hoefer, Nathan Simmons and Ryan Doolan also led the Goon to victory.
