Renee Cook is EDNA best and fairest
Ellinbank continued its dominance in the Ellinbank and District Netball Association on Saturday, taking out premierships in A,B, C and D grades. Buln Buln’s Renee Cook polled 39 votes to win the Ellinbank District Netball Association A grade best and fairest.
Cook finished six votes clear of runner up Georgia Keysers of Nar Nar Goon.
Cora Lynn’s Karla Brook won a tight B grade count with 23 votes.
She finished two votes clear of Poowong’s Skye Hancock and Koo wee rup teammates Dana Bell and Editha Davis.
The C grade count was also close, with Ellinbank’s Phoebe Pratt polling 29 votes, just one vote clear of Buln Buln’s Robyn Mitchard.
Ellinbank’s Jasmine Ferguson won the D grade bets and fairest, polling 40 votes to be three votes clear of Catani’s Sara Russell.
Ella Spencer of Warragul Industrials won the E grade best and fairest, polling 34 votes to finsih two clear of Nar Nar Goon’s Holly Andrews.
Ella also won the award for best junior club person.
Poowong’s Ellie Robjant won the F grade best and fairest with 41 votes. She finished three votes clear of Cora Lynn’s Morgan Harris.
Goal throw awards were also presented in each grade.
Koo wee rup’s strong season on the court saw it rewarded with the senior club championship, while Cora Lynn took out the junior club championship.
The highlight of the event saw Yvonne Porter awarded Ellinbank District Netball Association life membership.
