Pool concerns

-

I recently tried the new pool, but I feel there are a couple of problems that need to be addressed. My swim was great, the pool temperature warm and the lane wide.

However, there is only one entry and exit to the main pool and that is by a ramp. It is at the far end, so if you are swimming in any of the lanes at the other end you have to lower yourself into the water and pull yourself up on the ledge of the pool to get out. That is fine if you are agile but difficult for older users.

If you want to use the ramp and you are at the far end you must negotiate other lane ropes and perhaps other swimmers to work your way down to the ramp.

Poor design in my opinion. There also is no clock on the wall anywhere to see how long you have been swimming if you have a time limit.

In the female change rooms. The shelves in the showers are narrow and down quite low, so consequently get wet from the shower.

The power point for a hairdryer is near the door and away from the mirror.

These may be small matters for some, but make a big difference if you require them. I sincerely trust that these matters can be addressed considering it is the ratepayers who will be contributing to some of the costs involved in revamping the pool.

The children’s pool looks fantastic. What a shame a bit more thought hadn’t been put into the adult’s facilities. Bev Michelmore Warragul
