Meat stolen

-

Two men and two women were seen stealing large quantities of meat from the Trafalgar IGA supermarket on Tuesday night.

Police said the four people entered the stores at about 7.30pm and left with large quantities of meat packs.

The offenders were seen getting onto a grey Hyundai sedan. Anyone with information that may assist investigations can contact Warragul Police.

After she had advertised in the Gazette, a man phoned to say he’d seen a cat matching Pickles’ description jump from the back of a ute near North Rd.

Realising Pickles must have curled up for a snooze in the tray of a visiting friend and jumped out when the vehicle was moving, Naomi and her family scoured the area where the cat was last seen, leafleted the neighbourhood, posted on social media and walked and drove around the neighbourhood countless times.

Pickles was found two weeks later healthy, albeit thin, when the family were driving along Sutton St.

Adopting a similar strategy this time around, social media helped the family become reunited with Rogue after he was found under a Brandy Creek Rd house.

“People made contact through Facebook and I had a phone message about the cat, saying it might be him,” Naomi said.

“He wouldn’t come, we had to bribe him with food and dig the bricks out to drag him out.”

Despite being trapped for an estimated three weeks, Rogue escaped the ordeal with just a cut where his paw had become caught in his collar.

The family is now being extra cautious to ensure Rogue does not escape before being re-united with Kaitee in November for his relocation to Queensland.
