Gary Miles artwork featured at Tarago Gardens, Neerim South

-

Artworks from the Gary Miles Arkaroola Two Series, which was on exhibition at the Hawthorn Studio & Gallery throughout October, were featured recently at a small exhibition of his work at Tarago Gardens Over 55 Development at Neerim South.

Arkaroola is an outback region north of the Flinders Ranges in S.A. - an area rich with magnificent rock formations and volcanic masterpieces and Gary has captured the strength, colour and shape of this majestic landscape in his mixed media and oil paintings.

During the afternoon, visitors and residents enjoyed Gary’s artwork whilst tasting local Wild Dog wine and Tarago River cheese and the music of well-known singer Alan Tatlow.

The next event planned at Tarago Gardens Over 55 Development is on this coming weekend, 17th and 18th of December, with the official launch of three brand new designs and display homes, open from 11am to 3pm both days.

Take a leisurely drive to Neerim South this weekend to see what’s on offer. Tarago Gardens Over 55 Development is located immediately behind the Neerim Bowling Club, off Addison Street. Call 0433 321 500 or 0419 130 529 for more information.

A world of opportunity awaits Year 12 students as they close the secondary school chapter of their lives to pursue tertiary education. However, with so many options on offer, choosing a direction can seem daunting.

The University of Melbourne invites Year 12 students and their parents to the historic Parkville campus on Wednesday 14 December for Course Information Day. You can tour the campus and residential colleges, enjoy a free BBQ lunch, and have all your questions answered through one-on-one advice with friendly staff.

If you can’t attend in person, explore your options through the Online Course Information Day, held from 11am until 9pm on Thursday 15 December. You can simply log on to receive personalised advice.

The University’s Course Information Days are a great opportunity to learn more about how the Melbourne Curriculum works. At Melbourne, students begin with an undergraduate degree, choosing one or two areas of specialisation and exploring other disciplines through ‘breadth’ subjects from outside their chosen degree. They then have the option to specialise further at the graduate level, often combining passions discovered along the way.
