Tai Chi - More Than Just Exercise

Tai Chi is a natural way to relaxation and health. Its tranquil, flowing movements improve fitness without impacting on the joints. The linked sequence of movements or Tai Chi “routine,” are performed at a slow and controlled pace, with deep concentration and diaphragmatic breathing. The movements are designed to improve balance, coordination, strength and flexibility.
The beauty of Tai Chi is that it is appropriate for all ages and all levels of fitness. Most people do Tai Chi to improve their health and help them cope with stress. They find the art of Tai Chi daily rejuvenates their minds and bodies.
By learning different forms including weapons like sword and fan, Tai Chi continues to be challenging and stimulating for a lifetime of learning and practice.
Sifu Chris Everett is a senior instructor at the Golden Lion Academy. She is professionally trained and maintains the academy’s high standards. She has a 4th degree black belt and has been awarded gold medals in competitions in China and Australia. These days she is a full-time Tai Chi instructor and is devoted to passing on her knowledge.
