The truth about Hypnosis

-

One of the biggest myths about hypnosis is that the hypnotist is in charge, that he/she can make you do anything they want. Nothing could be further from the truth. The truth is that you are in charge and aware of the entire experience. Stage hypnotists shows have given people a false understanding of hypnosis.

The stage hypnotist sets things up as though he/she is ‘making' people do things they wouldn't ordinarily do. But the truth is those people volunteer and would not do anything they didn't want to do. It's as simple as that.

When it comes to hypnotherapy you are in charge and aware of the entire experience, the way it should be. The focus, via the pathway of hypnotherapy, is always to support you to connect to the understanding and the answers that you have within you, often held at a deeper level of the mind. This is the essence of self-empowerment: Knowing that you have all that you need within you already. Hypnotherapy offers the experience of that.

Hypnotherapy can help you with issues such as weight management; quit smoking; stress management; self confidence; personal growth; grief and loss/bereavement; phobias; relationship issues (past and present); insomnia and much more, bringing you understanding of the limiting beliefs that may be holding you back from how you want to be and where you want to be in your life.

Jane Jacobs is qualified with a Diploma in Applied Clinical Hypnotherapy, Diploma of Counselling and is a Member of the Australian Asssociation of Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy Inc (AACHP).
