Division one: Drouin 2/91 lost to Yallourn 18/92.

Bob Cole, Chris Stubbings, Steve Barr and Mick Fleming (skip) lost to Michael Weatherall’s team 19/24.

Ron Brodie, Maureen Leighton, Dennis Throup and John Leighton (skip) lost to Alan Grubb’s team 23/26.

John Bulmer, Leslei Firth, Ian McCartney and Adam Proctor (skip) lost to K. Kouett’s team 23/25.

Division three: Drouin 4/94 lost to Longwarry 16/104.

Terry McFadzean, Margaret Rhodes, Peter Wood and David Tayles (skip) defeated Barry White’s team 30/21.

Gary Watts, Mal Anderson, Pauline Appleyard and Graham Woolstencr­oft (skip) lost to Ray White’s team 17/34.

Russell Dawson, Lloyd Smith, Kevin Potter and Dale Hedrick (skip) defeated Dery’s team 30/19 (king rink).

Jim Hogan, Ton Lawler, Bill Eacott and Ray Watson (skip) lost to R. Roberts’ team 17/38.

Merv Appleyard, Ian Haughton, Richard Joyner and Neil Bullen (skip) lost to B. Paulet’s team 22/26.

Les Gouge, Graeme Godkin, Frank Basson and Peter Hone (skip) defeated G. Rosenbooke’s team 33/32.

The rink with Peter Hone skipping were down 26/7 at tea. The Drouin team changed things around, winning on the last end by scoring 26 shots to just six. They had to measure for the last shot before Drouin were declared winners by one shot. That’s how close it got.
