Warragul score big win

Warragul Bowling Club had a good day in round 12 of WGBD pennant on Saturday with three teams winning and two losing.

Division one had a fantastic 48-shot win against Neerim District, while division two had a bad 22-shot loss against Morwell.

Division three had a very good 37shot win over Boolarra, division five defeated Morwell Club by two shots and division six had an 11-shot loss to Longwarry.

Warragul 1 defeated Neerim District 111/63.

John Vickerman, Graeme Davis, Glenn Lockett and Gary Johnson defeated Angus McGillivray’s team 27/13. Ken Landman, Toby Wallace, Peter Gallasch and Clive Padgham defeated Shane Hogan’s team 31/14. David Alderman, Allan McDonnell, Janette Gallasch and Matt Schreyer defeated Neil Adams’ team 36/14. Terry Sullivan, Norm Dickson, Paul Simmons and Ken Scammell lost to Peter Throup’s team 17/22. David Anderson, Gilly Ross, Vin Roche and Greg Mitchell lost to D. Medew’s team 16/26. Flynn Pallot, Mark Hall, Mike Cousens and Chris Wilkins defeated G. Unwin’s team 31/17. Wilf Boscombe, Lindsay Matthews, May Baldwin and Len Duncan lost to H. McCurley’s team 24/26.

Warragul 5 lost to Longwarry 2 50/61.

Glynis Mitchell, Michael Royce, Trevor Crofts and Tony Peters drew with E. Petersen’s team 28/28. Fletcher Pallot, Greg Balikoff, Bill Dye and Alan Potter lost to B. Mason’s team 22/33.

In round 13 of pennant next Saturday, Warragul 1 is home to Traralgon, Warragul 2 is away to Traralgon 2, Warragul 3 is home to RSL 2, Warragul 4 is away to Garfield 2 and Warragul 5 is away to Garfield 3.
