Health and Happiness in 2017

-

The new year is truly underway. With the holidays being over and life getting back to normal, many of us are now considering how we can get fitter and stronger, and what are the best options for us. Want to challenge yourself with a fun way to build your overall body strength and mobility? At Drouin Yoga this is the focus.

As we get older we often lose touch with our bodies, we fail to stay aware of our breath and the connection between the two. We often find we are tense and cannot find release, stressed from work, stressed from travel and just plain stressed. Yoga provides you with the ability to reconnect mindfully back to the present moment, releasing tension while building strength, flexibility and mobility while doing different poses, flowing from one pose to the next with ease.

Drouin Yoga provides different types of yoga classes for all levels and ages. Monday’s Yin Yoga class is a lovely way to strengthen the joints through gently releasing fascia tissue by holding poses a little longer than normal. This is a great practice if you are a sports person needing to release tightness in the body.

Tuesdays, Thursday and Saturdays are all open classes with their 7pm class on Thursdays designed for those that want a stronger practice and like to be challenged. All classes have one strict requirement – bring your sense of humour – life is too short to be serious.
