Major fundraiser for Matt Height

-

The Summit at Trafalgar East will host a cocktail dinner as a major fundraiser for Matt Height.

Matt suffered a severe stroke in September last year. At the age of 43 years old, Matt is expected to make a full recovery, but this will take time and many costly resources.

It has cost more than $86,000 so far to get Matt home to his family and ongoing costs are immeasurable.

Matt is well known across West Gippsland, but particularly for his service as a police officer at Warragul, Drouin, Trafalgar, Neerim South, Moe and Morwell.

Matt has begun his slow road to recovery as he re-learns basic functions. He is expected to require ongoing rehabilitation for the next three years.

The fundraiser, on March 19 from 4pm to 8pm, will include a cocktail style dinner.

The fundraising event will feature entertainment by local band Strzelecki Stringbusters and magician Matt Hollywood.

The main event will be an auction with some big ticket items including artworks donated by local artists Kerrie Warren, Christine Cochrane and Keith Graham.

Organisers are grateful for the support and donations of local businesses. If anyone would like to donate items for the auction of raffles, contact Caroline at The Summit (5633 3236).

Tickets are $55 each, which includes a cocktail style dinner. Drinks are available for purchase at the bar.

Tickets can be bought at The Summit, Warragul Police Station (ask for Sergeant Graeme Carter or Leading Senior Constable Kevin McLaren) or via https://www.trybooking.com/256349

All proceeds will go directly to Matt to assist him with medical and rehabilitation needs and costs.
