Runs galore at Athlone

Jindivick 8/382 (cc) def. Hallora 10/231 Jindivick enjoyed an absolute run fest at Athlone as they ran out convincing winners against Hallora.

Young opener Harrison Moore (72) posted his maiden half-century as he and Robert Sanders put on an incredible 192 for the first wicket.

Sanders was the star of the day however, making his way to 107 before being having to retire hurt.

Cody McCraw (40) and Christian Stacey (42) kept up the momentum and with a costly 52 extras, the score quickly blew out to a massive 382.

Michael Lynch had some success with the ball, taking four wickets, with junior team mate Daniel Simons taking two.

Cross leads Hawks

Drouin 10/269 def. Ellinbank 10/175 Brad Cross has led Drouin to a good win over Ellinbank with a measured 119.

Resuming at 4/54 the Hawks lost two early wickets before a match winning 96-run partnershi­p from Cross and Michael Caddy (46) gave the visitors the points.

Samuel Pratt gave it everything with the new ball to finish with 6/42 and was well supported by James Scammell (2/47) and John Jacovou (2/39).

Vandenberg­e hits form

Garfield/Tynong 5/191 def. Warragul 10/152

After a quiet couple of weeks with the bat, Darren Vandenberg­e was once again in the runs at the weekend.

Vandenberg­e (88) notched his fourth half-century of the season as the Titans easily passed the target.

After starring with the ball on day one Mick O’Neill put his hand up for man of the match honours, scoring 55 at the top of the order.

Warren Miller (2/40) and Cooper Bagnara (2/8) were the pick of the bowlers.
