Love song mash a reception highlight
A choreographed first dance to a love song mash was a feature when Katie Finger married Jack Holloway on Saturday, December 17.
The bride got ready at her family home in Drouin prior to travelling to St Hilary’s Anglican Church in Kew for the ceremony. The service was conducted by Sam Crane.
Katie is the only daughter of Mark and Heather Finger of Drouin and Jack is the eldest son of Peter and Elizabeth Holloway of Balwyn.
Katie wore an A-line wedding gown featuring lace cap sleeves and a scalloped-lace illusion back with fabric-covered buttons. The gown had a sweetheart neckline with a scalloped lace trim.
She wore a simple veil with matching scalloped trim and carried a bouquet of pink avalanche roses, white freesias and white lisianthus.
Katie’s bridesmaids were Rebecca Lodge, Tasmin Lewis and Emma Gunn.
The bridesmaids wore navy blue dresses with V necklines and calf-length cross over hems. They also had pink avalanche roses, white freesia and white lisianthus in their bouquets.
The bride’s niece and nephews stole the show as they cutely and with great concentration walked down the aisle in front of the bride.
The flowergirl was Zoe Finger with Liam Finger and Joshua Finger as page boys.
Zoe wore an ivory dress of mid-calf length with tulle white roses covering the bodice. Her hair had two waterfall braids in it with gyp flowers throughout.
Liam and Joshua wore grey suits with waistcoats and navy blue bowties.
Jack’s best man was Andrew Kerr and his groomsmen were Ross McKinnon and Matt Malone.
The men wore charcoal suits with ivory shirts, navy ties and pink avalanche flower buttonholes.
Katie and Jack’s reception was held at Brunswick Foodstore and featured a well-choreographed first dance surprise for guests. The dance was to a love song mash incorporating love songs from the 80s to present day.
The couple enjoyed a honeymoon in Tasmania and will make their future home in Box Hill.
