Wild winds cause havoc

Wild winds blew through West Gippsland on Friday night, leaving a trail of destruction across properties and roads. As gusty winds howled through the night, many people woke to fallen trees on Saturday morning and lrage branches to clear.

Road crews were kept busy clearing local roads where trees and branches had fallen while property owners had to embark on their own clean up efforts.

Margaret Tylee captured the mess caused by this massive gum tree that fell across Simpson Rd North on Friday night, blocking the road to through traffic.
