Going in to day two, Warragul were forced to work for every single run as the Hawks struck three early blows. Paddy Mulqueen (33 not out) and Lachlan Waters (10) did enough to get the Gulls across the line.

Kye Osseweyer offered his side a glimmer of hope with a terrific haul of 4-31.
