Volunteers needed for hospital appeal

-

Local Uncle Bobs Clubs are seeking volunteers to assist with the annual Royal Children’s Hospital appeal.

The lives of many local children have been saved by the RCH over the years and the annual Good Friday appeal is an opportunity for community members to donate back to the hospital.

The Uncle Bobs Club needs volunteers to help with the annual door knock on April 14, in Warragul, Drouin, Neerim South, Bunyip and Tanjil South areas. Volunteers must be over 16-years-old. In Warragul, volunteers will meet at Westpac Bank, Victoria St. The branch will be open from 10am to 4pm. Contact Kevin Potter (5623 6210) for more information.

In Drouin, people willing to help by doing a door knock can contact Kevin Potter to arrange for equipment to be delivered.

The Drouin group will not be operating from the bowling club as in the past.

The Neerim Uncle Bobs Club also is looking for volunteers to door knock around the town. If you can help, contact George Gleeson (5626 8238).

The Bunyip Uncle Bobs Club will be operating from the Bunyip Fire Brigade and is also seeking volunteers. Contact Barry Turner (5625 4830) for more information.

Uncle Bobs Club members will be collecting donations at the traffic lights at the corner of Victoria and Albert Sts on Thursday, April 13. Members also will be selling Easter eggs at Coles with all proceeds going towards the appeal.
