‘Cruise’ offers friendship

-

Warragul Inner Wheel Club recently organised the Inner Wheel Friendship Day which was well attended by members from many Inner Wheel clubs in the districts A62 and A61.

Warragul hosted the event in support of A62 district chairman Lynne Davine, a member of the Warragul club.

The event was held at the Warragul Country Club where the club members enjoyed an exciting day of cruising aboard the “Good Ship Warragul’, on her maiden voyage.

Clubs entered into the spirit of the day with wonderful costumes, including the wealthy first class passengers, bright island attire, nautical themes and pirates who were intent on plundering the cruise.

The room was decorated with a nautical theme and each “passenger” received a gift bag with items useful on a cruise.

Before the cruise departed the guests were treated to a display of whip cracking.

The first port of call was Italy where everyone was taught the chicken dance.

The second port was India where the feature was dancing Bollywood style then it was on the Brazil where the Macarene featured.

The final port was Mexico where everyone was up doing the Mexican hat dance.

The day concluded with the waving of flags, joining hands in friendship and singing I Still Call Australia Home.
