Evans Petroleum and Farm World: A Proud History
Evans Petroleum are entering their 26th year of being a major sponsor of Lardner Park Events with the partnership being both fruitful and beneficial in enhancing the growth of both businesses.
The partnership actually began with the Mobil brand some 50 years ago, through the then Gippsland distributors and has evolved over time where distribution companies changed as has the fuel and Lubricants brand to BP.
The BP Australia/Evans Petroleum partnership with Lardner Park is now entering its fifth year. According to Managing Director Stuart Evans, it has been an alignment, which to date has been seamless and easy to maintain.
“We see the benefit of being involved with a progressive partner such as Lardner Park Events, as it allows us to portray our business in the same light, delivering a quality product and meeting our customer expectation. These attributes has helped Evans Petroleum to grow its footprint on the Gippsland region with depots in Leongatha, Traralgon and Sale providing the infrastructure to service our farm delivery customers. This is backed with 15 retail sites in strategic locations and a fleet of B-Double and truck and dog combinations for delivering the larger bulk loads of fuel.”
Evans Petroleum Sales Manager John Schelling oversees the delivery of bulk fuel and lubricant to customers all over the South East region of Victoria, adding that the quality of product also plays a major role.
“Our lubricant business assures quality of product by delivering Castrol Oils to the market as well as the tried and proven BP Lubricants to the agriculture sector. By selling a product that people trust and the service that customers expect we set ourselves apart from our opposition. Our delivery service throughout Gippsland on set days per week allows us to provide products on a regular basis therefore allowing resellers and customers to carry low stock holdings. This is also very evident in our choice of Ad Blue suppliers that led us to form a partnership with Go Blue Australia for the supply of their product to distribute to our customers and Go Blue’s as well.
Being a new product Evans Petroleum elected to source a top quality product and set up a first class vehicle for our distribution. With the product available in bulk, IBC’s, 200 litre drums and 10 litre containers as well at the retail pump at selected service stations we are well equipped for the future growth that will occur as more new diesel vehicles come into the market place.”
Evans management and staff pride themselves on being local, distributing quality products to the Gippsland market place at competitive prices, employing some 130 staff who assist with keeping the local economy vibrant and maintaining the best possible service levels that we can.
They believe in putting something back into the local community, which is evident in the large sponsorship base that we currently assist.
