Jersey fair in Warragul

-

The 56th Central Gippsland Jersey Breeders Club annual fair will be held at Logan Park, Warragul, on Tuesday April 4.

This is regarded as one of the Jersey breeds’ best shows nationally and is certainly the premier autumn show in the country with cattle come from all over Victoria and southern New South Wales to compete for more than $7000 worth of prizes.

Organisers are excited to have secured one of the country’s finest judges with Matt Templeton of Fort View Holsteins and Jerseys, Arcadia.

For some time, Matt has been regarded as one of the best cowmen in the country, having fitted and worked with some of the best cows from all around the world.

In October 2016 Matt was associate judge of the Red & White Holstein Show at the World Dairy Expo in Wisconsin, USA.

Organisers are very excited to have Matt on board and are looking forward to watching Matt go about his business on show day

Testimony to the quality of the cattle on display is that all three champions of this year’s IDW Jersey Show were exhibited by studs that showed at last year’s fair, including the Kuhne family who was awarded the Supreme Exhibit of IDW 2017.

Everyone is invited to go along to see some great cattle and enjoy the hospitality of the local Jersey farming community.
