Jindivick and Narkoojee Sculpture Show

The biennial Jindivick and Narkoojee Sculpture Show is on again this May, with the opening on Saturday, May 13 at 2.30pm in the Jindivick Hall. Simon Lawrie, McClelland’s Balnaves Curator of Australian Sculpture is the guest Judge and will be presenting awards. Outdoor sculptures will be on display in the gardens around the Hall and the Jindivick Country Gardener opposite, and interior pieces will be in the Hall, with around 40 pieces on display and for sale. The Jindivick Progress Associatio­n is providing free nibbles and wine at the opening. The show includes works from regional, Melbourne and interstate artists, with all the local favourites participat­ing. Pieces will be on display in Jindivick until Sunday, May 28th, and selected outdoor pieces will be relocated to our partners, Narkoojee Wines in Glengarry, near Traralgon, to be displayed on the lawn areas around the winery and will remain there until a performanc­e by the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra in the barrel room, on September 29th. Entry to the sculpture show is free, and more informatio­n is available on the Jindivick community website at www.jindivick.org.au and on the community Facebook page. The Sculptures will be on display and for sale in Jindivick until Sunday, May 28th, and will then relocate to Narkoojee Winery, Glengarry.
