Undefeated Industrials doing enough
For the second consecutive game Warragul Industrials have done enough to emerge with a comfortable victory, this time accounting for Lang Lang 1310 (88) to 6-3 (39).
Following its disappointment from going down to Nyora a fortnight ago, the Tigers were plucky in the first half and went into the long break in touch, just 15-points in arrears.
The Industrials held sway in the second half, booting eight goals to three to run out another comfortable victory.
Shane Brewster and Corey Nickels were big factors in the outcome, booting nine goals between them. Michael Ablett, Ben Northover, Tye Holland, Josh Peterson and Tyson Bale kept up their supply.
Young gun Dylan Wilson kicked four goals for the Tigers, while William McGindle, Chris Brew, Rohan Bleaker and Joseph Dalgleish also took it up to their opposition.
Dusties dominate
Warragul Industrials continued their early dominance of the Reserves competition, this time casting Lang Lang aside to win 17-11 (113) to 1-2 (8).
Shane Ingham led the charge, booting seven goals, with other best players including Scott Lindsay, Troy Hemming, Ayden Mills, Tom Turner and James Hall.
Mark Hunter, Adam Baxter, Riley Marshall, Dan Kirby and Jye Shaw-Remy toiled hard for the Tigers.
Dusties too good
Warragul Industrials were also far too good in the under 18s, winning 20-20 (140) to 0-4 (4).
An even spread of goal kickers helped Dusties to a big win. Better players were Jack Davidson, Matthew Burdett, Joel Paredes, Josh Lewis, Joseph Murfet and Gary Lantjin, who delighted the crowd with his three goals.
Brent Miller, Max de Longville, Sam Michie, Stephen Aschenbrenner and Edoardo Curia were listed as Lang Lang’s best.
Lyrebirds win strong
Buln Buln’s juniors didn’t let separate venues deter them, with the under 16s leading off two terrific wins with a strong performance at Western Park.
Faced with a three-point deficit at three-quarter-time, the Lyrebirds stormed home with four goals to one in the final term to win 6-4 (40) to 3-7 (25).
Flynn O’Reilly, Charlie Wans and Mason McGarrity were instrumental in scoring to help the Lyrebirds to victory. Jack Storey, Nelson Brew, Josh Pearn, Max Chesterfield, Reid Stachan and Blake Hasan also played their part.
Tyler Irving, Xavier Ford, Harrison Perry, Lachlan Wilson, Lachlan Bambridge and Tyler Murray kept Dusties in the contest.
