Bank celebrates 15th birthday

-

Drouin and District Community Bank celebrated its 15th birthday with the donation of a car to Baw Baw L2P learner driver mentor program during a community event recently.

A Mitsubishi Lancer in its fleet had been deemed surplus to requirements, and has been donated to the L2P program with just 37,000km on the clock.

A recent donation of $13,000 had allowed Drouin West CFA to attach a rear unit to its command point vehicle, with brigade captain Bruce Jewell on hand to show bank directors the finished result.

The event included a free sausage sizzle, which was manned by the Drouin Lions Club, and showbag giveaways.

The celebrations concluded with the cutting of a cake.
