Badminton matches one sided
Matches in Mid Gippsland junior badminton were one-sided, with match of the week going to the B/C grade match between Ellinbank and Warragul White.
Warragul started with a hard game, while Josh and Zak won the game in three sets, Emily and Ilyan had more aces.
Then Ellinbank was able consolidate by winning the rest of the doubles. Josh won again in the first singles for Warragul making the games even.
Ilyan and Zak then had a close game for the second singles, with Ilyan giving Ellinbank the win and the match.
Teams are reminded that it is important to underline their team on the scoresheet. Last week the Association received one teamsheet without the team name on it, while this week two teams didn’t send in their results. Unfortunately those teams played each other.
There will be a Gippsland team Event on Sunday, May 21 at Warragul.

The Vikings had a surprisingly easy win over the Knights in round nine of Athlone badminton.
The Princesses won convincingly against the Cowboys, while the Pirates had another good win, this time over the Ninjas. Results: Vikings d Knights 123-94, Princesses d Cowboys 115-86, Pirates d Ninjas 109-80.
