Bricks and Bouquets
It is with a heavy heart that we learn that the Bunyip Newsagency is closing. Joe and Carmella will be sadly missed. They have done a wonderful job, every day for over 10 years, our papers have been delivered without fail.
A barrow load of bricks to the people that use the computer facilities of our fine Warragul Library to go on line gambling and pokies with all the horrible sound effects. Surely we have clubs and pubs dedicated to this pastime. It really is very annoying to other library patrons and it’s a wonder the library management allows this irritation to take place.
I would like to send a big bouquet to the good samaritan who discretely removed a “troublesome’ customer from Mawarra Opportunity Shop last week. It was much appreciated. When sitting in my car outside Bunnings recently I did not realise that my disability sticker had fallen off the dashboard until an untidy bearded man smugly asked "Where is your wheelchair?" It was in the boot and I did not need comments like that. An entire brick wall to you! To all the creative talented members of Warragul and Neerim South CWA who knit and sew lovely teddies for children having blood tests at Dorevich. They are even able to keep them afterwards. It makes a real difference. A bouquet to the Gazette for the annual photographic competition. The entries on show at the Warragul Camera Club exhibition at the Downtowner, indicated that our local residents are keen amateurs with an eye for detail, composition, colour and subject. Full marks too, to the Warragul Camera Club for their exhibition. I rushed home and dusted off my Box Brownie; I just might enter next year.
