Chairo Christian School

-

Chairo Christian School operates an ELC (early learning centre) at three of its campuses — Drouin East, Pakenham and (from 2018) Traralgon — and provides excellent facilities, dedicated staff members and a caring community.

The convenience of children going to one location for both kindergarten and school is huge, with the support and resources of the school bringing advantages for both parents and children.

Transition to school is smooth for everyone as relationships are developed with the school administration, teaching staff and families. The children are familiar with the school grounds, library, hall, and music and computer rooms. The ELC also benefits from being part of the school’s online learning management system known as Linc.

Chairo aims to develop fine and gross motor skills, and social, emotional and spiritual wellbeing, through a play-based program that incorporates literacy and numeracy. This is achieved through the use of music and movement, art and drama, and investigative play.

Staff members teach the children that they were created by God and are greatly loved by him, and that we are all to love and respect each other. As committed Christians, ELC staff members believe that children are a gift from God to be nurtured and guided in their learning in partnership with their parents.

Giving the children an understanding of God’s love for them—as demonstrated through Jesus’ life, death and resurrection—permeates everything that is said and done at Chairo’s ELC.
