Elizabeth Mitchell – Piano Adjudicator – Senior Sections
Elizabeth Mitchell is an Honorary Senior Fellow of the University of Melbourne where she has taught for over 25 years.
Her areas of special interest include the training of music teachers, and to this end she has worked extensively in the teaching, coordination and curriculum development of the University of Melbourne’s Master of Music (Performance Teaching) degree.
Elizabeth has been an AMEB piano examiner for almost 30 years and is now a Federal examiner, and Chair of the Victorian panel for Teaching. She continues to enjoy teaching at all levels, although most of her work currently involves tertiary education. Elizabeth provides workshops and masterclasses for a variety of organisations, especially the Victorian Music Teachers’ Association. She is a Life Member and former President of the VMTA.
