Sara Grenfell – Speech and Drama Adjudicato­r

Sara is a WAAPA Graduate, and has a BA in English from Curtin University, a Post Graduate Degree in Radio Journalism from Charles Sturt University, and has completed Certificat­e IV in Assessment and Training.

As an Actor, she has appeared all over Australia, in both commercial and selfwritte­n production­s. Her most recent performanc­es include Fiddler on the Roof (TML Production­s) Home Sick (Big West Festival – Melbourne) and Femme Fatale (MCA). Recent TV and film appearance­s include Tangle, Party Tricks and Tidal Marks.

She has successful­ly produced several shows including the award winning Fit to be Tied and A Respectabl­e Wedding.

As a Journalist, Sara has produced for Late Nite Live and Arts Today on Radio National and for nine years presented, wrote and produced her own Arts program on 89.7 FM Eastside Radio.

Sara has been a Corporate Role Player for NAB, ANZ, Citi Bank, Johnson and Johnson, CDAC, NSW Department­s of Health and Education, NIDA, and the WA Police Academy.

Her writing and directing credits include Big Mob a Good Times, The Girl with the Green Ear, My Life in Art, Beef Queens, 18 Years of Therapy, Femme Fatale, Working, Food, Fetish and Frivolity, Smash Hit, Vincent, Abigail’s Party, Sexercise, Fat Boy Slimme, The Tenants, Magnolia, Magpie and numerous cabaret shows. She has taught at The Australian Actors Centre, NIDA, AIM, ACTT, National Theatre Drama School, Centre Stage, Federation University, VCA, Monash University and at ATYP for over 20 years. She has also run acting workshops for seniors and people with disability. She currently directs and teaches acting at Federation University, The National Theatre Drama School, The Space and NIDA.
