Ellinbank seminars return
Another year of informative presentations demonstrating the variety of research and extension activities in the department.
Farmers will hear about regional and statewide soils research Including: The use of innovative tools to assist with landscape assessments;
Extension activities and tools targeting dairy, pasture and cropland management;
The 2016-2017 financial performance of dairy farmers involved in the Dairy Farm Monitor project; and,
The latest animal and manure management research taking place at Ellinbank.
Seminars are over the lunch break, so take along your lunch. Tea and coffee are available.
For those not able to travel, GoToWebinars will be used again this year so distant participants can register to listen remotely.
The next seminar will be held tomorrow, Wednesday May 31 and will
be presented by Doug Crawford who research scientist, Spatial Information Sciences, based at Ellinbank. The ‘Topsoils’ project is in its second last year and Doug will describe the research undertaken to assess the fertility of pasture and cropping soils in east Gippsland, and how this information is used to target extension messages. is
