Cats continue strong form

Neerim-Neerim South continued its good form to brush aside Longwarry, 22-14 (146) to 6-7 (43).

The Crows made a good start, taking a one-point lead into quarter time, but from there the Cats took control and showed why they are the form team of the competitio­n.

The Crows would manage just 1-2 across the next two quarters, while the Cats added 10 goals to have the match in their keeping at three-quarter-time.

A further eight goals to one on the final term blew the margin out.

Tyssen Morrow booted nine majors to continue his good form in front of goal, while Michael Urie and Aiden Dibsdale each chipped in with three majors.

Jackson Ward, Nathan Bayne, Calum Shiels and Kody Wilson were also prominent.

Daniel Fry and Kane Oldham were the goal kickers for the Crows. Ben Cuckson, Brody Rundell, Cole Cook, Nathan Fry and Riley Rundell also battled against the odds.

Cats win big

Neerim-Neerim South were also big winners in the Reserves, 19-13 (127) to 01 (1).

The Cats took control from the outset on the way to a big win.

Mathew Cumming kicked six goals, while Kane Saliba, Darren Ratten, Mathew Churchill, Ben Lockett and Daniel Fusinato were also prominent.

Cats claw Crows

Neerim-Neerim South overcame a slow start to comfortabl­y account for Longwarry in the under 16s, 9-2 (56) to 4-6 (30).

The Crows took a 10-point lead into quarter time before the Cats took control, with the home side kicking eight goals to two for the remainder of the match.

Josh Ferguson kicked six goals, while Josh White, Kyle Bright, Heath Darcy, Beau Ellis and Thomas Pollard also helped the Cats take control.

Blake Cann, Bailey Stephens, Jonah Serong, Harrison Stephens, Cameron Reid and Liam Quarrell helped the Crows make a good start.
