Special toast highlights reception
Natalie Minichiello arrived in style in a 1970 reef green XW GT ahead of her wedding to Tim Grant.
Natalie and Tim married at St John’s Catholic Church, Trafalgar on Saturday, April 22 with Father Bernie Krotwaar officiating.
The bride was accompanied by her father when arriving in the XW GT which he previously owned.
Natalie is the second child of Leno and Cathy of Trafalgar and Tim is the eldest child of Peter and Betty of Pakenham South.
Natalie wore an ivory mermaid, high-neck style gown made of a combination of lace and crepe.
The bride also wore a floor-length ivory veil with a face piece belonging to her mother, who wore it to her wedding 33 years ago.
She carried a whimsical floral arrangement of burgundy, peach and cream tones.
Natalie’s maid of honour was Josie Johnston and her bridesmaids were Ellen Grant, Bianca Goodrope, Clara Beggs, Johanna Bramstedt and Sarah Walker.
The bridesmaids wore Shona Joy charcoal high-neck long gowns. Their flowers matched the bride’s.
Tim’s best man was Tom Grant and his groomsmen were Tanny Rodda, Danny Payne, Anthony Delaney, Joel Cantwell, Lachlan Grant and Cameron Miller.
The men wore black tuxedos with slim black ties.
The main backdrop for wedding photographs was Tim’s TK Bedford truck, that he purchased as a 14-year-old boy, located on the Grant family farm in Pakenham South.
Natalie and Tim held their wedding reception at Pakenham Racing Club in Tynong.
A highlight of the reception was Natalie’s grandfather Bryan Shanahan opening, toasting and enjoying a glass of special wine with the newly married couple. Returning home from a European holiday five years ago, Natalie gave her grandfather a French bottle of red wine. Bryan insisted to wait to open it at Natalie’s wedding.
Natalie and Tim honeymooned in Hamilton Island, Palm Cove and Port Douglas.
They currently live in Pakenham.
